01
The Challenge

Bring Vichy Dercos’ dermatological approach to hair and scalp care out of the pharmacy aisle and into one of Kuala Lumpur’s busiest shopping streets. The brief was to educate men and dandruff sufferers on the scalp and hair conditions most prevalent in Malaysia, and to position the Dercos range as the targeted, at-home solution — all within a week-long outdoor pop-up at Fahrenheit 88, built in two overnight setup windows and with retail partner Watsons selling on site.

02
The Experience

We designed and built the Vichy Dercos Scalp Confidence Lab on the Fahrenheit 88 outdoor promo space — a pop-up anchored by a giant “V” and visible from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Starhill Gallery and the Bukit Bintang walkway. Visitors scan in and collect a journey card, then move through a guided scalp diagnosis, a Dermos lab test and dedicated anti-dandruff and anti-hair loss solution shelves. Along the way, a Journey to Healthy Scalp maze game, a lab-coat wall, a shower-themed photo corner and the Root Strength Challenge — hang on for 6, 12 or 100 seconds to win — turn the science into something to play with and share. The journey ends at an in-booth Watsons counter, closing the loop from diagnosis to purchase, while lab-coated Vichy walkers take guerrilla sampling across Lot 10, Fahrenheit 88 and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at peak hours.

03
The Impact

The activation gives Vichy Dercos a high-visibility platform in the heart of Bukit Bintang, turning a clinical category into a hands-on experience. By pairing personalised scalp diagnosis with an immediate path to purchase, it connects education directly to trial and sales — showing how a dermatological brand can meet consumers where they shop, not just where they buy.
